What is the purpose of processing personal data?
The purposes for which the Company processes personal data are the following:
To enable customers to maintain an account on the website in order to make purchases through it.
To provide the services that you assign to us and wish to receive (order execution), such as the purchase of products and services, and consequently to fulfil our contractual obligations in this context.
To analyse and process the sample submitted to the laboratory, and to conduct and interpret the results of the genetic analyses.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data
For the processing of our customers’ personal data that do not fall under special categories, the Company relies on the following legal bases, depending on the purpose of processing:
For the creation of a customer account on the Company’s website, the legal basis is the anticipated performance of a contract between the customer and the Company.
For the provision of services to the customer, the legal basis is the performance of the contract between the customer and the Company.
For the analysis of the sample submitted to the laboratory, the legal basis is the performance of the contract between the customer and the Company.
For contacting you in relation to the services provided by the Company, the legal basis is the performance of the contract between the customer and the Company.

For the processing of special category personal data (e.g., genetic and biometric data) for the purpose of analysing the sample submitted to the laboratory, the Company relies on your explicit consent as the legal basis.
How and why do we use your personal data?
Account Creation
Personal data are collected when you create an account on the website www.genosophy.gr, which is operated by GENOSOPHY. When creating an account, you may be asked to provide additional details; however, the minimum information required for the conclusion and performance of the contract will be marked as mandatory.
Order Execution
Personal data are also collected when you place an order through our e-shop at www.genosophy.gr. For the completion of your order and the creation of an account, additional information may be requested; however, only the minimum data necessary for the conclusion and performance of the contract will be required. These fields will be marked as mandatory.
The information stored in your account will be used to complete the order, and you may be asked to provide additional details, such as payment information, an alternative shipping address (optional), or invoicing details (e.g., tax identification number, tax office, profession, company name), where applicable.
In the context of completing your order, some of this data is transferred:
a) to courier or transport companies, for the shipment and delivery of your goods. These companies may contact you to request clarifications or to inform you about the delivery of your products.

Sample Analysis
The Company analyses and processes the sample submitted to the laboratory and conducts and interprets the results of the genetic analysis.
Any further processing of the submitted sample for scientific research (or statistical purposes) will only take place with your explicit consent and after anonymisation of your personal data.
Communication in the context of the provided services
The Company may contact you for any inquiry you submit, as well as to send you the results of the genetic analyses.
Sending newsletters, promotional or informational material
During your visit to our website, www.genosophy.gr, you may fill in the contact form, providing your email address for the purpose of subscribing to our Newsletter.
The data collected through our website may be used to contact you for promotional and marketing purposes, to inform you about products and offers that may interest you, via e-mail, provided you have given your consent, under the conditions set by the legal framework.
Within GENOSOPHY’s legitimate interest to generate customer engagement for its products and services, we may process information published online—on search engines and social media platforms (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)—for the purpose of creating personalised promotional communication with potential customers, via telephone or e-mail, for the aforementioned commercial purpose.
The legal basis for this is the voluntary publication of your information on search engines and your registration on social media services, which is interpreted as explicit consent for such publication, depending on the settings of the platforms you manage.
The website may contain links to third-party sites. GENOSOPHY is not responsible for the content or policies of these sites, and use of them is at your own risk.
Who may be the recipients of your personal data?
Personal data may be processed by authorised employees of the Company, specialised personnel, and the Company’s partners who are involved in any way in the provision of these services, regardless of their legal form, as well as healthcare professionals and collaborating laboratories. All such parties are bound by obligations of confidentiality, data protection, and professional secrecy.
The processing of personal data may also be carried out by affiliated companies and their staff, under their responsibility (specifically IT companies, software providers, medical equipment operators, companies of medical technology products, and diagnostic centres).

What are your data protection rights?
You may submit a request to GENOSOPHY if you wish to access, rectify, erase, request the portability of your personal data, restrict the processing of your data, or receive any other relevant information.
You also have the right to object to the processing, to object to automated decision-making and data profiling, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

The Company will respond to your request within one (1) month of its receipt, at no cost to you. This period may be extended by an additional two (2) months due to the complexity or number of requests, in which case you will be informed of the extension and the reasons for it as soon as possible and no later than one month after receiving your request.

b) you believe that your right to personal data protection is being violated by any processing we carry out,
